Q: How old are you and what age did you start riding?

A: 27 years old and started riding on a PW50 at three, the same age I ditched the training wheels on my bicycle!

Q: Who was your biggest influence when you started on two wheels?

A: My Dad for sure, my entire family, and all the local fast guys.

Q: What are some of your interests outside or riding?

A: If I'm not riding or working on my bike, I'll most likely be cutting trail and building jumps, hanging out with my wife and animals, and reading books written by riders and racers. I like being outside and don't like to sit still for to long. Oh, and working of course, haha.

Q: Current bike?

A: I'm racing a Husky FC350 right now, and spend a lot of time on my KX250 smoker as well. My BMX is built with parts from different companies I grew up loving, like FBM!

Q: Is there anything odd about your current bike setup?

A: I run my clutch and brake levers low, and my shifter high. Other then that it’s all pretty neutral.

Q: A rad moment from the 2017/18 riding season?

A: In 2017 I won my Dad’s memorial race, that was probably the best moment of my entire racing career. It was an all out battle for 3 hours and I launched my bike into a backflip across the finish line!

Q: Name a few of your favourite pro riders, past or present.

A: Randy Hawkins was my favourite enduro racer growing up. Mike Lorocco and Kevin Windham on the moto side. For BMX, Chad Kagy and Mat Hoffman.

Q: What music have you been into lately

A: Easy, my favourite band has always been Lucero! But lately, I’ve been getting back into Fugazi.

Q: A movie you could watch on repeat?

A: On any Sunday.

Q: What gets you stoked?

A: Progression and competition. Regardless of what level of rider you are, stomping something new is always such a rad feeling. I'm also addicted to the bar banging battles while racing!

Q: Favourite terrain to ride?

A: I love it all, but I always end up on the gnarly, Erzberg type of stuff. I try to be as versatile as I can and am comfortable on nasty, rocky terrain or hitting moto jumps.

Q: Tell us what your driving to your local riding spots.

A: 7.3 litre diesel one ton motovan! I just replaced my extended body van with a cube van, so the new build is in progress.

Regardless of what level of rider you are, stomping something new is always such a rad feeling.

Q: Latest TV/Netflix series binge?

A: Me and my wife just finished Stranger Things, but I try not to watch much TV.

Q: Favourite junk food?

A: Pizza for sure, and Reece's Pieces. I try to limit it, but can't always say no, Haha.

Q: Worst Injuries?

A: I have a pretty long list of bad injuries, but the one that took the most out of me mentally and time wise was my shattered foot and ankle in 2013. I had 6 or so surgeries, had plates, screws and 8 rods put in affixed to external fixators. I was close to having it amputated, but thankfully I made a decent recovery.

Q: Most recent injury?

A: Two months ago I got a nasty concussion (one of many throughout the years) and compressed a lower vertebrae when it happened. I broke a knuckle last year, tore up my right rotator cuff a bit and right now my left knee has a torn meniscus. Dustin Labby introduced me to KT tape and that's helped me race and ride through these injuries.

Q: What does “Built to Ride” mean to you?

A: Perseverance, fun, friends, family and progression. Having a passion for riding and loving every moment you spend on the bike. I’ll never stop riding and having fun, and neither should you!

Q: Any last words?

A: Get out and ride!
